False medical excuse exposed before court

The client contacted us during a multi-million criminal case involving a former business partner. The matter was before the Specialized Criminal Court and several hearings had already taken place. Shortly before the expected judgment, the other party repeatedly began avoiding the proceedings. A medical report was submitted to the court claiming that the former partner had suffered a severe stroke and was unable to walk or communicate independently.

For the client, this was a critical situation. After several hearings, the case was in a sensitive phase and a decision was expected that could significantly affect the dispute. There was a suspicion that the medical condition was being used deliberately to avoid responsibility and delay the court's decision.

Discreet verification of real movement

After starting the investigation, we focused on verifying the real daily routine of the person concerned. The aim was not to interfere with privacy more than necessary, but to objectively establish whether the claims presented to the court matched reality.

Already in the initial phase, it became clear that the publicly presented health condition did not match what could be observed in everyday life. The person moved independently, visited the city, met people and functioned in a way that directly contradicted the image submitted to the court.

Training, meetings and an ordinary social life

During surveillance, we documented that the former partner regularly attended boxing training, visited cafes, communicated with others and maintained an active social life. His movement did not resemble that of a person unable to walk or speak.

The findings also included repeated situations in which the person consumed alcohol and moved without visible limitation. Each observation was recorded so that the date, place, time and context could be shown later.

Evidence documentation for court

The final output was an investigative report containing a timeline, photographic documentation, a description of individual findings and a comparison between observed behavior and claims submitted in court proceedings. The report was prepared factually, without assumptions, and with emphasis on the usability of the evidence.

The client then submitted these findings to the Specialized Criminal Court. After reviewing them, the judge assessed the investigative findings and photographs as legally obtained evidence usable in the proceedings. This was a key moment because the court gained a concrete picture that the other party's claims may have been deliberate.

Result of the case

After accepting the evidence, the Specialized Criminal Court no longer accepted further avoidance of hearings without consequences. The former partner was subsequently brought before the court by a police patrol so the proceedings could continue and the judgment could not be delayed further.

The client obtained evidence that helped unblock the court process and showed that the other party was likely trying to misuse health claims to delay responsibility. The case also showed how important lawfully obtained investigative documentation can be in criminal proceedings.
